IN CASE YOU MISSED: South Park References Family Guy's Incessant References
The boys from South Park really seem to be on a comeback trail from irrelevancy, with the much ballyhooed (I can't believe I just typed that) Chef-departure episode, and now this biting satire of their animated brethren over at Family Guy. If you missed it the first time, be sure to catch the re-run of this hilarious episode:

Comeback from irrelevancy? Did you not see their brilliant take on the 2004 election, Terry Schiavo, global warming, scientology, paris hilton, broadcast tv news, and so much more in the past 2 years?

That was a great episode last night. I was LMAOing all over the place.
Funny, but I said last night that these guys "are making themselves relevant again."
I must be smart after all.

Not funny. Not a funny show. Why don't they write about a couple of guys who make an awful movie about a made up sports with tons of movie cliches in it?
This episode was like the pot calling the kettle balck.
Not relvant, not funny. Just tired.

Wow, Dave must be a big Family Guy fan. Sorry about that Dave. Why do you waste your precious time watching a show you hate so much? Don't answer that. I don't actually care.

Great Show can't wait to see next week.
They have had two episodes pulled from the reruns. Should be interesting to see if comedy central steps up!

Welll bob@bob.bob, its not that I hate the show, its just that if an animated show is going to be critical of another animated show, its writers had better not be guilty of the very same things is pubically slams.
And since you say you dont care, I assume you are like the rest of the " i do what I tolds" of the world, so congratulations on being a loser.
I laughed at Southpark once...I think I was drunk though.

Matt and Trey when refering to Family Guy and some of its situations were actually taling about themselves. Some of the staff on Family Guy actually come from the South Park staff. Just like with the Simpsons episode, Matt & Trey are tipping their hat to the compitition by using the personalities of their characters. Both shows are well done in their own way.

The scope of this episode is not really about Family Guy at all, yes they do poke some fun at Family Guy, but the real meat of the episode is about SouthPark itself and how the Scientology episode was pulled. Its mind boggling that some of you actually think Matt and Trey have a beef regarding Family Guy. I would bet anything that they are big fans of the show.

Real talk. Family Guy is NOT funny. They try so hard to be off-the-wall and wacky like The Simpsons and South Park, but do it in a way that's lame, hackneyed and NOT FUNNY. Both The Simpsons and South Park, at times, could be considered stupid humor (depending on which jokes you may decide to reference). However, The Simpsons is extremely cleverly written and is actually much more clever than South Park. South Park even admits that Simpsons is a superior show ("The Simpsons Already Did It" episode). Nonetheless, South Park is also very clever at times and you do need to have some level of intelligence to "get" some of the jokes. Family Guy on the other hand is a show that any idiot could understand. I don't think that any of the people who don't like Family Guy dislike the show because they don't "get" it. They just don't find it funny. Now, I'm not saying that all people who watch Family Guy are stupid, but the truth is... Family Guy is a show made for stupid people.
South Park rocks. The Simpsons rule. Family Guy sucks.
