IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Natalie Portman's Japanese Commercial

Jennifer Aniston isn't the only celebrity doing commercials overseas. Watch this baffling Japanese ad starring Natalie Portman, not with the bald-head we know and love, but with long lustrous black hair that may not belong to her. Note the scientific explanation of how the hair product works. Does it at all remind you of The Abyss?     (thanks IDLYITW)

What a phoney. Wasn't she the one who said people who take parts just for the money are no better than prostitutes? I'm sure there's a lot of artistic merit in that commercial somewhere. Probably under her whig.

Haha. That's so funny if it's a wig, although that ad is a year or two old. She's done some other ads over the years and has admitted to it in interviews.

That out of context Portman quote about taking parts for money was referring to movie roles, not stupid commercials. She was explaining that she was willing to work for low pay on good films, and hoped to never take a movie role just for the money.

She didn't say anything against taking money for her modelling and promo career. She'd probably say you should work just for money if necessary so you can complete your artistic goals.
