Stop the Mmm Bop!

Image838091x

"While there are lemonade stands and bake sales from Connecticut to California, some schools are finding more creative vehicles. Delone Catholic High School in McSherrystown, Pa., has a fun fundraising program called "Stop the Bop." "

This Pennsylvania high school has decided to raise money for Katrina victims by playing "MMMbop" over its loudspeakers until they reach their donation goal. Brilliant and maybe just a little bit evil.[CBS news story]

I never knew people in PA were so evil...I LOVE IT!

Maybe they should have played MMMbop wherever Bush was during the week of the hurricane and he would have headed over to New Orleans quicker...

I'm from that area and that actually got a lot of media coverage. Apparently, they reached their goal and the music was finally turned off at 3PM yesterday.

What they should have chosen was the macarena. They'd raise the money a lot faster.

Sounds like a bit of slander.. What, couldn't find any other song to use? Hanson did more than any of those kids at that age, they should be ashamed, even if it was for a good cause. Disgraceful.

thats deliciously wicked... at my school, a history teacher just promises to shave off his beard if we reach 5,000... torturing the students with hanson is a much better idea....

Next year they have plans to set a new fundraising and speed record by blaring "Hollaback Girl"
