O-Ryan's Star

Ryan_seacrest_star

Ryan Seacrest was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday. And judging by the picture, immediately after he received it Simon Cowell strangled him to death. (but honestly, can you blame him?)

Well, it's nice to see that Hollywood doesn't let just anybody get a star. I thought they had lowered the bar when they awarded stars to Godzilla and Chewbacca, so it's nice to see that it's been raised to that esteemed "Seacrest-Level" of celebrity. Who's next, Brian Dunkleman?

I just hope this doesn't become a trend awarding stars to reality TV show hosts. I'd hate to walk through Hollywood and see a star for Seacrest followed by one for Roger Lodge and then one for "The Guy Who Hosts 'Cheaters.'" Let's stop before it's too late. I'm proposing Seacrest, Out.

Who makes these decisions on who they give stars to, anyways?

you have to have a fan base raise $5000.00 for it i think. It seems easy enough, maybe we can get our beloved blog a star?

NAHHHHHHHHHH

That's it? So if I had one really rich fan, I could get one?

Kick ass!

VH-1, I needed the spellchecker again.
please for the love of humiliation, install one.

ha ha ha

You could always just say that you were trying to be hip and spell much with a "y". It's the new fad!

Why are Paula, Randy and Simon even there? They don't have anything to do with his radio career, do they?

Fox probably made them go.

I wonder if Paula let him finish his acceptance speech (if there such a thing for having a fan base willing to dish out $5000.00) or did she interrupt him with spontaneous dancing & declarations of how proud she is of him (None of which, according to Abdul, herself, via People & USA Today, is drug related.) Hmm ....

More oddly enough ... anyone hear about the party at Harvard that gave attendees rashes? Talk about crimson pride.

Posted by: 527 | Apr 21, 2005 4:44:30 PM

What? How did they get the rashes?

I so think Paula is on drugs.

there's the hardvard rash people article.

Seacrest getting a star when he hasn't even hit 30 yet is just wrong to me, maybe it will be the kiss of death and we will never hear from him every again. That would be beautiful.

That's retarded as hell. Ryan deserves a good kick in the box not a star.

Not many comments on this subject.
One does not need to wonder very hard as to why , now does one?

Captain Obvious,Turd,Catwoman,Hellrazor, must be on vacation or something.

Sadly, to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, you merely have to fill out an applicationa nd "donate" $15,000. That's how I plan on getting mine. Do they yet have a star devoted to blog-stalking?

Posted by: Krista | Apr 22, 2005 9:29:36 AM

Doubt it, but it would be cooler if they did.

Posted by: Upstate Grl | Apr 22, 2005 9:39:41 AM

When has Hollywood gotten so bored with itself that Ryan Seacrest, one of the worst hosts in America, gets a star on the Walk of Fame? I wonder who he'll be next to? Flipper, Rin-Tin-Tin, maybe?

Posted by: Pinkie-Winkie | Apr 22, 2005 10:06:25 AM

As long as Ashlee Simpson does not get one, I think the world is still safe.

Posted by: Upstate Grl | Apr 22, 2005 10:14:41 AM

I heard his star is next to Sinatra's... yeah.

Posted by: Leah | Apr 22, 2005 11:06:13 AM

what a blow to real talent everywhere.

Sinatra's ghost will bitch-slap Seacrest everytime he visits his own star.

Posted by: curious | Apr 22, 2005 11:18:28 AM

I was gone for a while but I couldn't keep quiet about this! If Seacrest gets one, so should Joe Rogan for Fear Factor. One of the least funny men on the planet, single-handedly responsible for destroying the "Man Show" and damn ugly, so why not Hollywood? I would like to be the first "Rogan Fan" to offer a dollar toward the cause, anyone else? Don't send your money to poor children; let’s get a star for Joe!

Posted by: Dougie G | Apr 22, 2005 12:42:23 PM

Well, I agree he did ruin the man show, but he's not really THAT bad. He was funny when he was on News Radio.

Ryan got a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?
My God..what is this world coming too?

I hope someone pisses on it soon (and is real careful not to hit Frank Sinatra while doing it).

If Hollywood is going to start putting low fame celebs on the "walk of shame"...oops i mean "walk of fame" I've started getting them confused since Ryan Seacrest was added...maybe someone like Donal Logue will show up...at least he's actually funny.

Has anyone noticed that his microphone arm is larger than the other...WIERD

Posted by: undeniable logic | Apr 22, 2005 9:01:05 PM

yeah I heard you have to PAY (if you're the celeb) to get your star...they don't just give em to ya.... so yeah aka seacrest is teh gey

Posted by: shabooty | Apr 25, 2005 10:21:19 AM

Its really sad that some shit head can get a star for doing nothing...I think at least if he got one they should give one to stewie from family guy...now thats talent. OOh heres an idea lets give one to Joe from Blues Clues, hes a detective that has a talking set of spices, what more could you ask for?
